I’ve not had the time to update the blog section of the website much lately as I’ve been so busy but I promise those updates are coming soon!

I did however want to make the time to say what a fantastic time I had at the screening for Of Shark and Man in Dubai last week. I was invited out to screen the film by Ally Landes of Emirates Diving Association and she was absolutely the perfect host! I wasn’t in Dubai long but whilst there she took me to see the aquariums at Burj Al Arab and the Dubai Mall, huge thanks to Frances and David for showing me around, you guys are awesome and it was a real pleasure to meet you both!

Whilst there I also saw the Bur Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, something so huge it’s actually quite hard to take it all in. Dubai is a crazy place, the only way I can explain it is as though a more advanced race of aliens had come to Earth and used their technology to rebuild a city. I really enjoyed it!

The screening itself and the Q&A which followed was a huge success with a good turnout and super friendly people, the perfect event for what I had in mind when putting the screening package together!

Thanks again to everyone, especially Ally and Ibrahim for getting me out there! I’ll leave you with Ally’s testimonial and some pics from the trip. I am hoping I can get out there again soon, this time with some diving included!

“I had the pleasure of meeting David in person when I requested to screen his film, ‘Of Shark and Man’ with a Q&A for our members of the Emirates Diving Association in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. David surpassed my expectations with his beautifully executed film and his profound passion for conservation work. I cannot recommend David enough to be a part of his screenings and engage with the audience.

David delivered knowledgeable and interesting responses to the simplest and the most complex of questions asked of him. There is much to be said about a person that holds such a level of commitment and responsibility to save this critically important species for our future generations.”
